At the beginning of the year, we told you Platform Analyser was about to get a whole lot bigger. We’re now pleased to say that time is very nearly upon us.
Very soon when you next log into Analyser, things will look a bit different. That’s because we’ve expanded the software (and expended a whole lot of energy) to include discretionary MPS ranges too.
The ability to run powerful due diligence exercises on platforms with a built-in audit trail still remains. But you’ll also be able to run due diligence on MPS providers and their ranges using the same tried and tested methodology.
WHAT’S HAPPENING
We are launching with eight providers just now – these represent a significant proportion of the MPS market in terms of AUA and asset flow. More providers are waiting in the wings.
To get to this point we have worked closely with these firms (none of whom have paid for access), alongside an extremely helpful and patient group of advisers and paraplanners to get a deeper understanding of what they need when carrying out investment research and due diligence.
We are still very much in a ‘test and learn’ phase – or the ‘beta’ version of the software to use developer speak.
As those of us who have experienced painful replatformings first hand will testify, you can never do enough testing and retesting. But we wanted you to be among the first to know what’s coming, given that if you’re reading this you already use Analyser in some shape or form.
As such, we’d really love you to go into MPS Analyser and have a play. Does it work for you? Is there anything missing that would help you out? Ultimately, do you think it will help you in achieving provable suitability for your target clients?
WHAT YOU’LL SEEE
If you’re a free user, in the directory section you’ll see the existing platform directory plus the option for MPS (beta), which will take you to the new directory for MPS providers.
As with the platform version, you’ll be able to access high-level details about one MPS range at a time.
Premium users will see a lot more, and will be able to run comparisons on features, performance and portfolio level information, as well as carry out a due diligence exercise to create a shortlist of MPS ranges.
A BIT ABOUT PRICE
We have decided there will be no price increase for the addition of MPS Analyser. Essentially, premium users will get double the Analyser for the same price of £25 + VAT a month/ £300 a year.
While we are biased, we think that’s great value, and hope that if you’re not a premium subscriber already, you might be tempted to give it a try. And if you are, then we’re happy to be giving you more for the same all-in price.
As a reminder, this is everything you get with the premium Analyser package:
- A proven online guided deep-dive due diligence process to create bespoke due diligence reports setting out the rationale behind your chosen platforms (and now MPS), with a live audit trail built-in.
- The ability to run one-off interactive pricing and features comparisons between platforms and MPS ranges, based on your specific criteria… all done in seconds.
- A free copy of the lang cat’s famous annual platform guide, State of the Platform Nation (coming very soon).
- Ad hoc research to help you keep up with the key issues of the day.
- The very best and most detailed analysis that we have to offer including a quarterly Adviser Briefing with AUA, service ratings, new developments and more.
- New functionality added all the time, based on user feedback.
GO FORTH AND TEST
We’ll come back to you very shortly once MPS Analyser is up and running in its beta form – when that happens, we’d love for you to go in and let us know what you think.
