In-person events are back, but that doesn’t mean we have to go back to the old way of doing things.
Here at the lang cat we wanted to make our next conference bigger and better than ever before. The result is #langcatlive, our flagship conference being held at the iconic BAFTA building in London’s Piccadilly.
It will feature the usual thought-provoking content you’ve come to expect from the lang cat, alongside high-profile speakers including none other than Nucleus founder David Ferguson.
He'll reflect on 20 years spent trying to disrput the sector and whether the wheel has come full circle, along with lookin forward at what's to come for the industry and him personally.
We’ll also have a new Question Time slot to get the measure of the financial services market at the consumer, adviser and provider level.
Our theme this time round is ‘Cui bono’ or who benefits, with every session dedicated to challenging assumptions about whether current ways of working, products and services are really benefiting the people they were meant for.
Expect discussion and debate around issues of pension policy and the big regulatory challenges like PROD and the Consumer Duty, and what this all means for firms.
Of course, this is a lang cat gig. That means this will all be weaved in with our regular dose of market insight, drawn from our big annual qualitative adviser research the State of the Adviser Nation report and our back catalogue of platform data and analysis.
Our new director of public affairs, Tom McPhail, will also take the stage.
While in-person events have made a welcome return, we appreciate not everyone is able to make the trip into London.
As a result we’ll be running #langcatlive as a hybrid event, so if you are able to join us face-to-face that’s great, but if not you will also be able to attend online.
This is just a wee placeholder for now to let you know what’s coming – we’ll be back in touch soon with all the details on how you can get hold of a golden ticket.
If you want to be among the first to hear when tickets are released, just drop us a note at thelangcat@langcatfinancial.com to register your interest.
In the meantime, the date for your diary is Thursday 10 February 2022.
See you then (and probably before).
